Back in the 80's (when i was 10 or so) my dad (RIP) bought me a cassete player. I bought an empty tape and gave it to the girl next door that had a turntable to fill it with some songs. She filled it with songs from S&G ang gave it back. Funny thing i told her "what? just songs from one band? who are they ? no michael jackson ?". Untill i listened to that tape!!!!!!. almost 30 years later their music is still as fresh as ever and i still listen to that old tape

I had gotten the same treatment during elementary school until middle school. Also, debt is a useful tool. Too much debt is bad, but debt encourages growth. And on top of that, debt doesn't mean that a country is poor. The USA is STILL the richest nation on earth and STILL has the world's biggest economy. My point, anyway, was that the USA can afford to have good healthcare.

The worst thing Obama has done - and it's quite bad, although conservatives never complain about it - is continuing Bush's policies on FOIA requests, wire-tapping, and the covering up of torture. Everything else - repealing DODA, setting up the new healthcare bill - is all rather sensible, but his rights record is similar to that of Bush. So who do you consider a good president if Clinton doesn't count as one?

@KeepOurFreedoms The USA has the world's biggest economy regardless of national debt. You may not be an economics major, but you can surely realise that America is still a rich, prosperous place. And it should have better healthcare. And the economy, while it isn't perfect, is recovering. It's not as good as it was under Clinton, but we know who to blame for that, I'm sure.

@KeepOurFreedoms The healthcare bill was almost exactly the same as that proposed in the early 90s by the Republican party, and in reality, it's a necessary step whether you think so or not. The USA has appallingly bad healthcare, and it needn't, as it's the richest country on earth. The healthcare plan is a step in the right direction, and it's been unfairly vilified. And yes, the economy has improved. Bush took it to a recession, and it is there no longer. So... nah. You're wrong.
